the only thing you can do is reload, sorry. I'll work on fixing this after the game jam voting period end. It hopefully doesn't happen every time for you? you just need to press e once to pick it up.
Seems cool as a vibe, a bit tricky to move at times, but that's usual in game jam games.
The only thing is that i literally got soft locked after moving two boxes to my both sides...
Idk if i missed it but a reset button would be super useful.
Also when you pick the key it looks funky, it seems it's interacting with the world in a way that may not be ideal, idk how to fix it but perhaps make it into another "layer" or something that makes it not behave based on whatever tiles are around since it's clear it doesn't work as you intend and it's also surrounded by tiles anyways so...
A reset button is a good idea. When I was play testing I didn't really think of it because the whole game can be completed in a couple of minutes. The key didnt quite work as I wanted yeah it could definitely float nicer behind the player
I'm not sure whats happening, Ive seen it get stuck when you stand on top but when you walk up to the side it works for me. What browser/os are you using?

Almost every time. I did manage a couple of time by not getting to close to it. Thanks for the update :)
